EMO Hannover is the world’s largest exhibition for metalworking, held every two years at Hannover Meese, Germany. The exhibition showcases 90% of the world’s industrial products and systems. Exhibitors come to EMO Hannover from all over the world presenting products and applications of Industry 4.0 and intelligent manufacturing. The numbers of Taiwanese exhibitors at EMO Hannover 2017 was second only to Germany and Italy, becoming the third largest participating countries.

With a total of 25 exhibition halls, EMO Hannover 2017 covered a variety of projects, embracing the exhibition theme: “Connecting Systems for Intelligent Production.” Besides showcasing latest manufacturing models, exhibitors also presented how they could enhance customers’ profitability using both smart manufacturing and data display. The exhibition provided a great opportunity for manufacturers from all over the world to propose their solutions for improvement of current processing environment through live example demonstrations.

On behalf of BAOJE TOOLS, Special Assistant Roy visited EMO Hannover 2017 to meet up with Hard Metal, a well-known Irish cutting tool distributor. With 40 years of industrial experience, Hard Metal collaborates with world’s leading suppliers such as ISCAR and EMUGE, to provide CNC processing solutions and appropriate CNC tools for customers. It was BAOJE’s pleasure to discuss future collaboration with Thomas Kelly, the General Manager, and Andy Moore, the Technical Manager, of Hard Metal.

Projects exhibited at EMO Hannover 2017:

2. Machine components and accessories: mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic accessories… etc.

5. Other equipment: welding, cutting, hardening, heating… etc.
